Hey coffee lovers and welcome to a new month. June is here and with that the summer has officially started. It is time to enjoy some slow and warm days at the beach or some good work in the city. So with no further ado it is time to drop the bags…
THE ROASTERY
The legendary Nomad Coffee Roasters from Barcelona were founded from a simple little coffee cart on the streets of London in 2011. Jordi Mestre, born and raised in Barcelona, emigrated to London after graduating as a designer at Elisava. Once in London, his plans changed when he discovered a world of specialty coffee that he could not resist. For two years, Jordi managed to gain experience from London’s absolute best coffee shops, which gave him the courage and finances to carve together a small coffee cart that he named Nomad. He rolled it to London’s most legendary markets over the weekends to serve residents coffee that he rotated from London’s best roasteries. Nomad’s hallmark was just then as now about closeness, respect for the producer and careful attention to detail throughout the production chain.
